Google Company was created by Sergey Brin and Larry Page in 1998. It started as a modest project but it is now a multibillion-dollar global organization that employs more than 19,000 people around the world. “Google” is a play on the word “googol,” the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros.
Google's headquarters are in Mountain View, California. Google calls its campus the Googleplex -- a combination of the words "Google" and "complex" and a play on the term googolplex: One followed by a googol of zeroes. Life at the Googleplex is pretty sweet. Here's just a small list of the amenities you can find there:

ResponderEliminarI’ve never ask this question to myself, cause I’m just in the second semester, then I don’t have the best opinion on this kind of topics, but I’ve searched about the question. ¿Which is the best company to do your internship? One of these good companies, is ecopetrol, I have found that in investigations that the adviser Merco have done, they have found that ecopetrol is the best company to do your internship in Colombia. In this list made by Merco are another companies that I like a lot as is EPM and Corona, one of these three will be the perfect company for me to begin in my way of the working life.
For my personal likes, I’ll want to do my internship in EPM. In this short article I will explain why i prefer this company and I’ll talk a little bit about it.
EPM was created in November of 1955 by the administrative counsel of Medellin they mixed 4 independent organizations: energy, communications, sewage system and aqueduct. It begins with his central office is in Medellin, but nowadays it is one of the most important services company in Colombia, for all their work they were rewarded as the most important company in Colombia in the XX century.
EPM has around 6200 employees and all years they receive more.
About its vision, they want to be a big company in 2020 reaching an amount of money of 16000 million of dollars, taking care of the social stuff and of the environment and giving the users solutions on energy, electricity, water, cleanliness and communication and information technology.
Their mission is to give to the community the solutions on energy, electricity, water, cleanliness and communication and information technology (TIC) in the best possible way, protecting the environment and producing well-being and progress.
And the most important topic to talk is why I decided that this could be a good company to do an internship, EPM has a lot of advantages, is one of the best companies of Colombia, its central office is in Medellin and the most important think its relevance in Colombia specially in Medellin is so big, I think that the work they do, give one of the most fundamental things to the people, services, that the people could use and live a healthy live. Another important thing for me is that they have always taken the environment as a primordial issue, and for me the environment always has been important too.
EPM has a lot of benefits too, one of them is the bonus, they pay bonus in vacation and in special cases like marriage, maternity or miscarriage.
They give opportunities in education too, especially to the workers family, sons or daughters. There are other benefits as recreation, sports, gym, etc.
But one of the most important benefits is the money loan for a house, there are a lot of people now with this benefit and ¿what could be better than have a good house?
With all I’ve said, it could be a great experience to work in EPM and to begin my working life.
I've seen a video about design at the Google's page, This topic could be a little related with my carreer, mechanical engineer, the type of design that they talk about in the video was the design of a tablet, it is not the work i'll do but it is interesting anyway.
EliminarAnother thing that called my atention was an article about the culture at Google, they said that they always see the problems like a chance to create something transformative. They said "those who think big, then bigger, like ten times bigger". Thats a very good way of thinking for me, see the problems as a chance to be in the cutting edge.

ResponderEliminarWhen in must to do my internship (if i do it), i want do it in this company, this is the UNE's part that works in small cities, and it have almost the double of the UNE clients, in this company there are more challenges because it works in the rural zone, in the mountains, and reaches some of the most far places, the employees of this company, must interacting with illegal groups, than make more difficult the work, EDATEL was founded in 1933, its first name was EDA, it means "Empresas Departamentales de Antioquia", and started to work with the railroad of Antioquia, at that moment, it only had permissions to put telephone lines along the rail, in that lines, just was running with voice, and after some year, EDA started to sell that service to the persons for a very down price, with the time, EDA was enlarging its services, providing too T.V, and after the Internet, in 1996 EDA changes its name to EDATEL, it doesn't mean anything, just is a name, EDATEL, in its beginnings was the unique company of telephony in all over antioquia, and just when EPM buys it, EDATEL started to sell T.v and becomes an affiliated of EPM, when the telecommunications become very important in Aburrá valley, EPM removes to EDATEL of the valley, and creates a part of itself named EPM Telecommunications, and after when the market becomes very competitive, EPM separates EPM telecommunications and creates UNE telecommunications, and EDATEL becomes a UNE affiliated, now EDATEL like the company name is going to dissapear to be called it just UNE.
In the actuality, EDATEL has 1230 employees aproximately, its mission is really short: lead the adoption of digital style of life in colombia. And its vision is really short too: ease the construction of a life of prosperity and wellness, its principal office is in Medellín, but it has offices in 140 locations in all over Antioquia out of the Aburrá valley, and in Valledupar. Its advantage is that in EDATEL, are tested all new technologies that will be used in UNE, and it make this company a very well place to make my intership, and learn so much.
Google, ofers to me 10 different types of internships, they need so many systems engineers, but all this are in the USA, but, i could travel to USA to make my internship there..... who knows..

It was founded on november 18th of 1995 for the mayority of Medellín.Its mision is to bring a excelent public service for medellín and to be a company without corruption, it wants to better the world with more public education.i dont know how many employees work there, but i could say that there work a lot of people.i really like EPM because it wants to better the world and to make of Medellín a Better place to live.
